New Delhi, July 2(HS): Intermittent monsoon rains are forecasted in Delhi and several states for the coming days, with maximum temperatures around 33 to 35 degrees Celsius and minimums between 25 to 27 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall, particularly in parts of eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, leading to potential waterlogging and flooding.
Heavy rains have already disrupted life in Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Telangana, Konkan, and Assam.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is expected in Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, with heavy rain in some areas. Rainfall is also likely to continue in northeastern India, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Vidarbha, coastal Karnataka, Telangana, and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
