Guwahati, 10 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed respect and gratitude to all the Gurus on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. Underlining the importance of Guru in Indian Sanatan culture, he said that the role of Guru is invaluable in every sphere of life building.

The Chief Minister said, Today on the holy day of Guru Purnima, I offer my salutations and gratitude from the bottom of my heart to every Guru who has guided me in life. The blessings of all of you are the courage and inspiration of my life.

This message of Dr Sarma was appreciated by the people across the state, which inspires to preserve the glorious heritage of the Guru-disciple tradition.
