Prayagraj,
04 June (HS): The Basic Flying Training School (BFTS) of the Indian Air Force
situated at Air Force Station Bamrauli, Prayagraj, is set to host the Valedictory
function on Friday. The momentous occasion will mark the culmination of
rigorous training for 215 APC (Helicopters) and ICG Stage-I courses,
celebrating the achievements of the next generation of aviators.
Since
its inception on 09 October 1987, BFTS has stood as a beacon of excellence in
aviation training, moulding skilled and committed pilots for the nation. The
five-month long training program that commenced in Jan 2025 has equipped
graduating officers with the advanced knowledge and operational expertise
required for the future roles in the Indian Armed Forces and beyond. BFTS has
been one of the leading institutions to emphasize jointmanship and integrated
training through joint training of the Indian Army, Indian Coast Guard and
Indian Air Force Officers, fostering a deeper understanding of cross-functional
operations and coordination between various branches of the Indian Armed
Forces.
The
event will be graced by Major General Abhinaya Rai, Commandant, Combat Army
Aviation Training School, who will be the Reviewing Officer. As the graduating
pilots prepare to embark on their professional journeys, the Valedictory
function promises to be a proud and inspiring celebration, showcasing the
indomitable spirit and dedication of BFTS in advancing the aviation prowess of
