Telangana VHP to demonstrate against unlawful cattle trade

Hyderabad, 4 June (H.S.): Before Bakrid in Hyderabad, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced a statewide protest on Thursday, May 5, against the purported illegal transportation and sale of cattle in the state.

The cow protection division of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) urged the Telangana government to enforce the cow protection laws effectively and safeguard the cattle.

The VHP has announced a demonstration at every district collector office statewide tomorrow.

In a statement, the VHP asserted that the state government had utterly failed to safeguard the cows that were being illegally trafficked and sold in Hyderabad prior to Bakrid.

The VHP asserted that, despite submissions made to the district collectors and the superintendent of police, no action was taken to halt the illegal cattle trade, and instead, fabricated charges were filed against the gau rakshaks.
