New Delhi, June 27 (H.S.): India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held talks with China's Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun during the meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Qingdao. Rajnath Singh provided a brief overview of the discussion along with a photo on his official X handle.Rajnath Singh stated that both of them exchanged constructive and forward-looking ideas on issues related to bilateral relations.

He wrote on X, Held talks with Admiral Don Jun, the Defence Minister of China, on the sidelines of SCO Defence Minitsers’ Meeting in Qingdao. We had a constructive and forward looking exchange of views on issues pertaining to bilateral relations.

Expressed my happiness on restarting of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra after a gap of nearly six years. It is incumbent on both the sides to maintain this positive momentum and avoid adding new complexities in the bilateral relationship..

It is important to note that at the SCO summit, Rajnath Singh strongly condemned terrorism yesterday. He stated that the SCO should denounce terrorism. He emphasized the need to hold accountable and bring to justice the perpetrators, organizers, financiers, and sponsors of terrorist acts, including cross-border terrorism. Every act of terrorism is criminal and unjust. SCO members should clearly condemn this evil.
