At least nine persons were in a horrific road accident that took place near the primary school located in Namshol village under Balrampur police station in Purulia district on Friday morning. As per information, a trailer coming from Balrampur and a Bolero car coming from the opposite direction collided head-on on Jamshedpur-Purulia National Highway 18. Two vehicles overturned on the spot. Local people and the police of Balrampur police station pulled out 9 blood soaked people from the Bolero car and took them to the block primary health center. The doctor declared all of them dead. According to police sources, the deceased were residents of Nimdi area of Jharkhand.

Local residents said that after the collision between the Bolero and the trailer, the Bolero was blown to pieces. They immediately started rescue work. But, no one could be saved. Local residents alleged that vehicles move very fast in this area. This is the reason for this accident. Two days ago also 2 people lost their lives in a motorcycle accident.

There was a traffic jam on the road due the accident. The police cleared the traffic jam in no time . According to police sources, the driver and the helper of the trailer fled from the spot after the accident. The police have started searching for them. The people in the Bolero car had come from Nimdi area of Jharkhand to attend a wedding ceremony in Purulia. They were returning to Nimdi after the wedding ceremony. This accident occurred while returning.
