New Delhi, June 13 (HS): The Ministry of AYUSH will host the global summit 'Yoga Connect' as the main event of the 11th International Yoga Day in a hybrid format at Vigyan Bhawan on Saturday. This summit will feature esteemed yoga gurus, policymakers, health experts, business leaders, researchers, and global influencers from India and abroad. Coordinated by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, over 1,000 participants will attend in person, with additional virtual attendees from leading international yoga institutions. Experts from Bahrain, the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea will also participate.

The summit will unveil the 'Yoga Impact' report, assessing the impact of International Yoga Day over the past decade, essential for academia and public health. A booklet on the importance of native Indian trees will be released. The conference will include thematic sessions on various aspects of yoga, featuring prominent figures such as Swami Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna. 'Yoga Connect' marks ten years of India's global yoga movement since 2014 when June 21 was declared International Yoga Day by the United Nations, recognized by UNESCO as a gift from India to the world.
