Delhi, 14 June (H.S.): On June 13, the Indian Navy enhanced salvage operations for MV WAN Hai 503, which was on fire, by airlifting a salvage team via a Seaking helicopter from INS Garuda, Kochi. Despite challenging weather and fire conditions, the team was successfully inserted onto the vessel, where they connected a tow line with the salvage Tug Offshore Warrior. Following this, the salvage team was evacuated by the helicopter. Currently, INS Sharda and OSV MV Triton Liberty, along with the Indian Coast Guard and other agencies, are engaged in ongoing salvage operations.
