Jammu, 13 June (H.S.): To address the public issues, Arvind Gupta, secretary BJP J&K and MLA from Jammu West today conducted a public darbar here today.

The darbar attracted a large number of people from Jammu city and surrounding areas, with various deputations representing different sections of society.

Deputations presented a range of pressing civic and administrative concerns, highlighting the everyday challenges faced by the people, particularly related to basic services and infrastructure.

Key issues raised during the interaction included the deterioration of road infrastructure, chronic water shortages, frequent electricity outages, non-functional or absent street lights and the urgent need for repair and maintenance of lanes and drains.

Citizens also brought attention to problems related to ration card discrepancies, delayed implementation of welfare schemes and lack of responsiveness from some government departments.

Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta assured the attendees that all issues flagged during the darbar would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority.

He stated, “The BJP has always believed in direct engagement with the people. The public darbar is an effective platform for citizens to voice their concerns and for us to respond in real time. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government remains deeply rooted in grassroots democracy and is focused on delivering effective, transparent and responsive governance.”

“The overwhelming participation in the darbar reflects the deep trust and confidence that people place in the BJP,” he added.
