Ayodhya, 13 June (HS): A medical
student from Ayodhya was injured in the Air India plane disaster near Ahmedabad
yesterday. On Thursday afternoon, an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed
shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
International Airport, killing 265 people. The plane, destined for London,
collided into the residential quarters of physicians at BJ Medical College in
Ahmedabad's Meghaninagar region and caught fire. Akshat Jaiswal, an MBBS
first-year student at BJ Medical College, was seriously injured and brought to
the hospital. He was having lunch with other students in the medical college
mess when the Air India plane slammed into it. Akshat has sustained severe
injuries to his limbs, legs, and head.
Akshat is from Bikhapur, which is
located in Ayodhya's Devkali region. Following the accident, his father, Rajesh
Jaiswal, and other family members traveled to Ahmedabad.
According to a top official, the Air India airplane slammed into a building,
killing four MBBS students and a doctor's wife.
