Tinsukia (Assam), 12 June (HS): Digboi police has succeeded to arrest four thieves with gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees. On the other hand, a goldsmith who bought stolen gold ornaments has also been arrested by the police.

Digboi police said that the four thieves were arrested last night on the basis of intelligence input. The arrested thieves have been identified as Tapan Das, Hirak Jyoti Phukan, Rustam Hussain and Pintu Ali.

On the other hand, Sonari has been identified as Arun Dev of Tinsukia. On May 26, thieves stole gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees from the house of a person named Subham Duara. Police is interrogating the arrested thieves intensively.
