Mumbai, 12 June (HS): Hindusthan Samachar, the

multilingual news agency working in the field of journalism for the last 77

years, has been selected for the ‘Devarshi Narad’ award by the Vishva Samwad

Kendra, Mumbai. Eleven news agencies and

individuals have been selected for the award, which will be given away during a

function at NSE Building, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai on June 14, The Executive

Director of The Indian Express Group, Anant Goenka will be the chief guest. RSS

West Region Executive Member Rajabhau Muley will be the main speaker.

For distinguished contribution to the field, 203-year-old ‘Mumbai Samachar’, Weekly Vivek’s Editor Ashvini (Kavita) Mayekar, Best

Journalist Award to Samir Karve from print media, Sandip Ramdasi from

Electronic Media, and Shailesh Gaikwad from social media will be honoured on the

occasion.

Under the social media category, YouTuber Jay Gagan,

Mruga Vartak for Facebook, Sunita Pawaskar, and Amol Jamdare for Instagram will be

honoured.
