Tamulpur (Assam), 11 June (HS): In a review meeting held at the Tamulpur District Deputy Commissioner's Office, Minister Ranjit Kumar Das reviewed the progress of the work of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). In the meeting, he said that 98% of the work has been successfully completed in Tamulpur district so far.
He directed that the remaining work should be completed by August 14 at all costs.
Minister Das also laid special emphasis on the expansion of the local product of the district - especially the Dhakwa plate manufacturing industry of Tamul. He said that the establishment of small and big industries should be encouraged in the district through local resources, which will promote self-reliance and employment. ---------------
