Kolhapur, 11 June

(HS): The Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat has been extended up to Mumbai, following

demand by the Regional Railway Passenger Advisory Committee. The extended Vande

Bharat Express Train will start commuting between Kolhapur and Mumbai within 15

days.

The Kolhapur-Pune Vande

Bharat runs on every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Based on travellers’ response

and demand from commuters, the decision to extend the run was accepted. The

Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on

September 16, 2024. The train of eight coaches has a capacity to carry 550

passengers.
