Prayagraj, 11 June (HS): On the
completion of 11 years of Modi government, Union Minister of State for Rural
Development Kamlesh Paswan enumerated the achievements of the government at the
Circuit House on Wednesday. He said that the Modi government is dedicated to develop
India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has set a
new journey of development of service, good governance and poor welfare in the
Amrit period of developed India.
The Union Minister said that at the
centre of every scheme of the Modi government has been the spirit of public
welfare and making the life of the common man easier, as well as giving the
country new dimensions at the global level. In the last 11 years, under the
leadership of the Prime Minister, the Modi government has secured the border,
strengthened the economy, and made technology accessible to the masses. Through
Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Modi gave a clear message to the entire
world, including Pakistan, that any attack on Indian soil will be considered an
act of war. With indigenous technologies like S-400 missile defense system,
'Brahmos, Akash missile, INS Vikrant, Tejas and 'Prachand' attack helicopter,
India is not only emerging as a self-reliant defense power, but is also
exporting defense equipment today. Today, India's defense exports have
increased 34 times to Rs.
23,622 crore.
He said that through Operation
Ganga during the Russo-Ukraine war, Operation Devi Shakti during the Taliban
occupation of Afghanistan and Vande Bharat Mission during Covid, the Modi
government brought back crores of Indians safely from foreign countries. At one
time, 96 districts of the country were in the grip of Naxalism, but due to the
decisive policy of the Modi government, strong action of the security forces
and the strategy of development, Naxal incidents have reduced by 70 percent.
Today India is moving towards becoming the fourth largest economy in the world.
49% of global digital transactions take place in India. The country's goods and
services exports reached $ 825 billion and UPI transactions in the country have
reached Rs. 24 lakh crore. The
government's technology-based e-governance system has given a new
definition to transparency, timeliness and accountability. Global institutions
like IMF and UNDP have praised the efforts of the Modi government towards
poverty alleviation in India, as a result of which about 25 crore people have
come out of poverty.
In the Modi government, 99% of
villages have been connected with road connectivity, 34 kilometers of highway
is being constructed every day in the country. Railway budget was increased 9
times. The number of airports doubled in the Modi government. Air travel has
become possible for the common man. The agriculture budget has been increased
by a record 5 times in 2025-26. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rs. 3.7 lakh crore has been given to
more than 11 crore farmers. More than Rs. 1.75 lakh crore has been paid
so far under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri
Krishi Sinchai Yojana, 112 irrigation projects have been started with Rs. 93,000 crore.
The Union Minister said that the
Modi government has followed the formula of development as well as legacy.
Women have got 33% reservation in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabhas through Nari
Shakti Vandan Act. Triple Talaq was abolished. More than 10 crore women joined
90 lakh self-help groups and a target of making 3 crore 'Lakhpati Didi' was set.
Under the Mudra scheme, loans worth Rs.
14.72 lakh crore have been given to 35.38 crore women. Under the Pradhan Mantri
Matru Vandan Yojana, Rs. 18,593 crore were distributed to 3.98 crore pregnant
and lactating mothers. Women got permanent commission in the army. India
has the highest number of women pilots. The number of AIIMS has increased to
23, 8 new IIMs, 7 new IITs and 490 new universities have been established.
The government's Startup India
scheme has made India the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. The
Modi government has approved more than 3,613 projects worth more than Rs. 44,859 crore in the
North-Eastern states, the Modi government is now changing 'Look East' to 'Lead
East'.
