Amravati, 11 June (HS): A special team of doctors
has been deputed to monitor the health of ex-minister Bachhu Kadu, whose health
deteriorated on the fourth day of his indefinite hunger strike, at Gurukunj
Mozari. Kadu has been on the hunger strike with 17 demands, including waiver of
farmers’ loans, and Rs 6,000 per month for persons with disabilities. The Civil
Surgeon and District Medical Officer constituted a team of doctors to take care
of Kadu.
Manoj
Jarange: Maratha activist Manoj Jarange visited Mozari and
held a discussion with Kadu, and advised him to take care of his health.
Extending support to Kadu’s agitation, Jarange said the CM and Deputy CMs are
aware of the problems faced by the farmers. If the demands are not conceded,
the agitation against them will be intensified. Kadu has been raising these
demands for the last over one year, and the government ignored them.
Janshakti
Workers: The agitation is getting wide support. More than 25
workers of Kadu’s Janshakti Party staged an agitation on a telephone tower. They resolved
to continue with the agitation on telephone tower till the government accepts
the demands.
Farmers’ leader Rakesh Tikait, Karale Master
declared their support gto the agitation. Azad Samaj Party, Raju Shetti of
Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatna, MP Nilesh Lanke, Sambhaji Chhatrapati, Akola’s
MLA Niotin Deshmukh, Ravikant Tupkar, Sachin Dhawle and others extended support
to Kadu.
