Mumbai, 11 June (HS): Two mobile medical units have
been commissioned in Nagpur, following a tripartite agreement between the
Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Sanofi India Limited, and Parimal Swasthya
Management and Research Institute (PSMRI). The health services through the
mobile units will be made available in Nagpur’s neglected areas. The agreement
was reached with the initiative by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The MoU
was signed in Mumbai.
The health services are being extended under the CSR
(Corporate Social Responsibility) Fund of Sanofi India. The mobile units will
be able to detect ailments like diabetes, hypertension, oral cancer, etc at an
early stage. About two lakh people of Nagpur are expected to benefit under the
scheme.
The mobile medical units have started operations in Nagpur’s
Azad Colony, Bada Tajbag, Bidipeth, Binaki, Dhanteshwari Nagar, Dharampeth, Dr
Ambedkar Nagar, Ekatmata Nagar, Gittikhadan, Gopal Nagar, Jaitala, Jayanti
Nagar, Mahatma Phule Chowk, Nandanwan, Pachpaoli, etc.
Generating awareness about health will also be
carried out through the mobile medical units.
