Hooghly, 11 June (H.S.): The police of Dankuni police station under Chandannagar Police Commissionerate have arrested four youths in a case related to cyber fraud. On Tuesday night, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate DCP (Serampore) Arnab Biswas said, On June 9, one Pritam Das, a resident of North Subhashpalli area of Dankuni police station area, lodged a complaint that a person named Suraj Singh was using Pritam's bank account saying that his (Suraj's) bank account has been blocked by the bank officials somehow. Later Pritam came to know that Suraj and his other associates had deposited large amounts of money in his bank account on 03 June 2025, 14 June 2025 and 15 June 2025 respectively. The accused were receiving money through some cases related to cyber fraud through computer and mobile phone and misusing the bank account of Suraj to carry out the fraudulent activity.

After the complaint, the police have arrested four accused named Suraj Singh, Saurabh Sharma, Kishore Sonkar and Sagar Sharma. They have been taken on six-day police remand to unearth the cyber fraud and arrest other involved persons, the DCP said.
