Washington, May 31(HS): President Trump has accused China of violating the recent US-China trade agreement, raising concerns about its stability and the potential for a renewed trade war. In a social media post, he declared, China has completely violated the agreement with us. This criticism follows US Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett's disappointment regarding the trade talks during a Fox News interview, where he also mentioned a possible discussion with President Xi Jinping next week.

Trump's and Bassett's remarks contributed to a slight decline in US stocks during early Friday trading. The trade agreement, established at the beginning of the month, included significant tariff reductions—US tariffs on Chinese goods dropped from 145% to 30%, while Chinese tariffs on US products fell from 125% to 10%, valid for 90 days.
