Chennai, 31 May (H.S.) : A disturbing incident has come to light in Kanyakumari, where a pastor has been accused of brutally beating his own children, claiming they were possessed by evil spirits. The children, aged 12 and 15, were allegedly subjected to physical abuse by their father, who believed that the beatings would drive out the evil spirits.

The incident was reported after the children informed their mother about the abuse, and she subsequently lodged a complaint with the local authorities. The police have taken the accused pastor into custody and registered a case under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The children's condition has raised concerns about child abuse and exploitation in the name of spiritual practices. Authorities are investigating the matter, and the pastor's actions are being scrutinized. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with many calling for strict action against the accused.
