New Delhi, May 30 (H.S.): The Delhi High Court has reserved its decision on the petition filed against the unauthorized use of deepfake photos of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation. Justice Saurabh Banerjee reserved the decision after hearing arguments presented on behalf of Sadhguru.During the hearing, Sadhguru's Advocate, Saikrishna Rajgopal, stated that numerous products are being sold using Sadhguru's name. He alleged that several fake websites are also misusing Sadhguru's name. He mentioned a book titled On Pregnancy, which features Sadhguru's photo on its cover. No permission was obtained from Sadhguru for the use of this photo. In this way, people are being misled by misusing Sadhguru's name. Sadhguru's Advocate said that his personality rights are being violated.

During the hearing, the Advocate representing Google informed the High Court that the aggrieved parties must share information about those web links for Google to take any action. In March, the Delhi High Court had issued a ban on YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh for creating allegedly defamatory videos against Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and posting on social media. The High Court also directed the deletion of tweets and videos posted by Shyam Meera Singh against the Isha Foundation.
