Patna/New Delhi, 30 May (H.S.): Prime Minister is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for various development projects in Karakat valued at over Rs 48,520 crore today. Key among these is the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (3x800 MW) in Aurangabad, with an investment exceeding Rs 29,930 crore, aimed at bolstering energy security for Bihar and eastern India while promoting industrial growth and job creation.
The Prime Minister will also commence significant road infrastructure projects, including the Four-Laning of the Patna–Arrah–Sasaram section of NH-119A, Six-Laning of the Varanasi–Ranchi–Kolkata highway (NH-319B), and the construction of a new Ganga bridge between Buxar and Bharauli. These initiatives will enhance regional connectivity and stimulate trade. Additionally, the four-laning of Patna–Gaya–Dobhi section of NH-22 and improvements in Gopalganj Town on NH-27 will be inaugurated.
Further emphasizing railway improvements, the dedication of the 3rd Rail Line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, costing over Rs 1,330 crore, will also take place.
Earlier,on Thursday Prime Minister Modi was welcomed at Patna Airport, where he inaugurated the new terminal building of Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport and laid the foundation for a civil enclave at Bihta Airport, enhancing air connectivity and the tourism sector.
Post-inauguration, the Prime Minister participated in a one-hour roadshow from Patna Airport to the Bihar BJP office, receiving greetings from the public. Subsequently, he met with party leaders, including Deputy Chief Ministers and state BJP officials, to discuss further strategiModM Modi met Bihar's party leaders at the BJP office about assembly elections but altered his plans. He first visited Deputy CM Vijay Sinha's residence for his son Govind Bhardwaj's ring ceremony, blessing the couple, before proceeding to Raj Bhavan.
In a social media post following the visit, Deputy CM Sinha expressed his gratitude and emotion, “The affectionate blessings and presence of the most respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an unforgettable moment for all of us workers. He lovingly blessed Govind and Shambhavi and wished them a good start to their new life.”
