Patna/Bikramganj, May 30 (H.S.): After Operation Sindoor's success, Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at a public meeting in Bikramganj, Bihar. Nitish highlighted the achievements of the 20-year National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, asserting that prior governments had failed to deliver progress. He noted the significant number of women in attendance and emphasized that their administration has actively worked for everyone's benefit since taking power. Key developments in education and health have been prioritized, along with major infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and culverts. Nitish mentioned women's 50 percent reservation in local elections and initiatives connecting villages with paved roads. He assured that by June, every household would have access to electricity, toilets, and tap water, under the 'seven resolves-2' initiative, which is advancing quickly. Jobs are being created in the government sector for youth, supported further by the launch of 430 new schemes costing ₹50,000 crores.

Modi's budget allocates significant resources to Bihar, including an airport and expressway, enhancing the state's infrastructure. The announcement of a caste-based census was received positively.

Nitish expressed heartfelt gratitude to Modi during the welcome and articulated excitement about the Prime Minister's visit to inaugurate and lay foundations for several road and railway projects, along with a superpower plant. The total investment for these projects exceeds ₹48,500 crores, promising substantial benefits for Bihar. Projects inaugurated include the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four-lane road, automatic block signaling from Sasaram to Anugrah Narayan Road, a new railway line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, and several other infrastructure developments.
