New Delhi, May 30 (H.S.): During a two-day visit to Goa, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh boosted the morale of Indian sailors aboard INS Vikrant. He emphasized that India's maritime security is robust and that no adversaries can challenge it. He disclosed the halt of Operation 'Sindoor' against Pakistan, done under India's terms, asserting India's resolve not to tolerate terrorism anymore. He congratulated the armed forces for dismantling terrorist bases in Pakistan swiftly in response to the Pahalgam attack, which pressured Pakistan internationally to request a halt to Indian action. Singh highlighted the decisive military response that manifested India's strength, stating that the Indian Navy's role was crucial, securing maritime dominance and limiting the Pakistani Navy's operations.

With the Western fleet demonstrating combat readiness through successful missile launches within 96 hours of the attack, India’s intentions were clearly communicated. The deployment of INS Vikrant signaled robust military capabilities, effectively demoralizing the enemy without needing further escalation. Singh recalled historical operations led by the earlier INS Vikrant that liberated Goa and drew parallels to current efforts, affirming that the new INS Vikrant symbolizes India's continued commitment to countering militants. He noted that the enemy was deterred merely by the presence and preparedness of the Indian Navy, indicating the significant psychological impact on Pakistan. This strategic stance, combined with operational readiness, reinforces India's defensive posture and determination in maintaining maritime security and counter-terrorism efforts.
