New Delhi, May 29 (H.S.): A tribute was paid to the late former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh at Kisan Ghat today. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar laid flowers at the memorial, honoring Singh's enduring commitment to rural India and farmers. He highlighted Singh's pre- and post-independence work advocating for farmers' rights and ownership.
Dhankhar characterized Singh He called Chaudhary Charan Singh a visionary leader who worked selflessly for agrarian reform, emphasising that his contribution went beyond politics and deeply impacted land ownership and rural empowerment and urged farmers to expand their focus beyond just agriculture to include livestock trading as well.
