Bhopal, 29 May (H.S.) : May 31 will be a historic day for Madhya Pradesh as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be the chief guest at mega event ‘Lokmata Devi Ahilyuabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan’ organized in Bhopal’s Jamboree Ground on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The Prime Minister, on this day, will inaugurate and perform Bhoomi-Pujan for several significant development projects. Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also be present during all the programs.

Women Empowerment Mahasammelan

Prime Minister Shri Modi will release a commemorative postage stamp and a ₹300 coin and Postal Stamp dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai. He will also honor a woman artist who has made remarkable contributions to tribal, folk, and traditional arts with the National Devi Ahilyabai Award. Additionally, the Prime Minister will visit an exhibition based on Ahilyabai’s legacy of good governance, women’s empowerment, and cultural contribution.

Indore Metro Inauguration

The Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate the Indore Metro’s Super Priority Corridor, a 6-km stretch of the Yellow Line featuring 5 stations. This modern transit system will make India’s cleanest city more accessible, less congested, and environmentally sustainable.

Virtual Inauguration of Datia and Satna Airports

Prime Minister Shri Modi will virtually inaugurate two newly constructed Datia and Satana Airports. Datia Airport built at a cost of ₹60 crore, it will enhance connectivity to the religious town of Datia. Satna Airport Constructed with an investment of ₹37 crore, it will open new opportunities for tourism, education, healthcare, and industry in the Vindhya region.

Prime Minister Modi will perform the virtual Bhoomi-Pujan for ghat construction along the Kshipra River, at a cost of ₹778.91 crore under Namami Kshipra Project as part of the Simhastha 2028 preparations. These ghats will stretch 29 km from Shani Mandir to Nagda Bypass.

He will also lay the foundation for additional water management structures worth over ₹80 crore, including barrages, stop dams, and vented causeways across Dhar, Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, and nearby districts. These efforts will help preserve the natural flow of the Shipra and Kanh rivers.

Support for Rural Governance Infrastructure

Prime Minister Modi will transfer the first installment for 1,271 new Atal Gram Seva Sadan buildings (panchayat buildings) built at a cost of ₹483 crore. These will provide permanent administrative infrastructure to gram panchayats across the state.

A Day of Transformational Significance

May 31, 2025, will mark a new era of social, cultural, and infrastructural transformation in Madhya Pradesh—symbolizing women’s empowerment inspired by Devi Ahilyabai and development guided by Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision. The Mahasammelan is expected to witness the participation of around 2 lakh women from across the state.
