Delhi, 29 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the PRAGATI meeting today, focusing on proactive governance and timely implementation involving Centre and State governments. The meeting reviewed three significant infrastructure projects with a total investment exceeding Rs 62,000 crore in the Road Transport, Power, and Water Resources sectors across various States and UTs. Modi highlighted the need to address implementation challenges and ensure projects are completed on time, warning that delays inflate costs and deprive citizens of crucial services. He urged stakeholders to enhance efficiency and accountability for better socio-economic outcomes.
Additionally, he addressed public grievances linked to the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), stressing the importance of timely grievance resolution and mandatory project registration to restore trust in the housing market. Furthermore, he examined best practices in developing India's Semiconductor Ecosystem, aiming to inspire broader adoption across regions. To date, 373 projects worth approximately Rs 20.64 lakh crore have been reviewed in previous PRAGATI meetings.
