Tight Security and Changes in Traffic Management ahead of PM Modi's Visit to Bihar

Patna, May 28 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Patna, Bihar, on May 29 for two days, marking his first trip to the state post-Operation Sindoor. Extensive security measures are in place for his visit, which includes the inauguration of several projects. Upon his arrival at Patna Airport, he will inaugurate the terminal building and lay the foundation stone for Bihta Airport.

Afterwards, he will lead a road show from Patna Airport to the BJP office, which will last around 45 minutes and take him through Dumra Chowk, Beli Road, and the Income Tax Roundabout. Over 3,000 police personnel and 200 magistrates will ensure security during this event, with snipers positioned on buildings along the route. In light of a resurgence of COVID-19, the health department mandates COVID testing for all individuals within a 100-meter radius of the Prime Minister. An NSG team will also be present during his gatherings in Patna and Bikramganj. Traffic management will be significantly altered on May 29 from 4 PM to 8 PM, with vehicle movement halted on Beli Road and complete closure of the road from Fulwari to the airport after 4 PM. Travelers are advised to take alternative routes and will need to show tickets to access the airport via Chitkohra Roundabout.
