Bhopal, May 28 (H.S.): A Bihar STF vehicle heading to Gujarat overturned on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway near Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday morning. The accident resulted in the deaths of two STF personnel, while four others were injured and hospitalized. One critically injured officer was referred to Indore for further treatment, and the other three were treated at the Government Medical College Hospital before also being sent to Indore. Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar visited the medical facility to gather information about the injured.

The Bihar STF team was traveling from Gaya to apprehend a criminal in Gandhidham when, around 11 AM, their Scorpio vehicle lost control and overturned near Israthuni. Eyewitnesses indicated that high speed might have contributed to the accident. Sub-Inspector Mukund Murari and Constable Vikas Kumar died on-site, while Sub-Inspector Santosh Kumar and constables Jeevadhari Kumar, Mithilesh Paswan, and Ranjan Kumar suffered injuries. Constable Ranjan Kumar was asleep during the crash and was unaware of the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
