New Delhi, May 27 (H.S.): Today, Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi visited Shanti Van to honor India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on his 61st death anniversary. She emphasized Nehru's crucial role in shaping the nation's future while offering floral tributes at his memorial. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also paid homage, praising Nehru as the architect of modern India and a fearless guardian of democracy who advocated for unity in diversity. He highlighted Nehru's contributions to science, economy, and industry.

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, also remembered Nehru, honoring his pioneering vision for a powerful and inclusive India and emphasizing his impact on social justice, education, and democracy. Collectively, they recalled Nehru's enduring legacy as a guiding force for India’s progress.
