New Delhi, May 27 (HS): The President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña Palacios, will visit India from June 2 to 4, marking his first trip to the country. He plans to review bilateral relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will also travel to Mumbai for meetings with local leaders and industrialists. The Ministry of External Affairs states that this visit will enhance cooperation between India and Paraguay. It is only the second visit by a Paraguayan president to India.

During the trip, President Peña will have a lunch hosted by Modi and a grand banquet organized by President Droupadi Murmu. He will also interact with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. Peña's Mumbai itinerary includes meetings with political leaders, industry representatives, startups, and technology leaders, underscoring the potential for strengthening ties. Diplomatic relations were established in 1961, fostering collaborative growth across multiple sectors.
