New Delhi, May 27 (HS): The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognizance of the murder of a journalist in Luhari village of Jhajjar district that occurred on May 18. The commission has issued a notice to the Director General of Police of Haryana, requesting a detailed report within two weeks.

According to a statement, the NHRC has asked the Director General of Haryana Police to provide a detailed report within two weeks.

A journalist was murdered in Luahari village of Jhajjar district. On May 18, the journalist had gone for a walk near his home. During this time, unknown assailants shot at him and fled the scene. Local villagers took the injured journalist to a nearby hospital. From there, he was sent to another hospital in Gurugram. However, due to severe injuries, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
