Chennai, 25 February (H.S.) : The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's (DMK) student wing staged massive protests across Tamil Nadu today, condemning the Union government's decision to make Hindi mandatory in schools. The protests, held in various parts of the state, demonstrated the students' strong opposition to the alleged imposition of Hindi.

The DMK student wing argued that this move undermines the linguistic and cultural diversity of Tamil Nadu, and demanded that the government respect the state's autonomy in education. The protests mark a significant show of resistance against the Centre's language policy, with the DMK student wing vowing to continue their fight against Hindi imposition.
