Dehradun, 25 February (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Uttarkashi has been postponed due to bad weather. The Prime Minister's visit to Mukhwa and Harshil, the winter residence of Gangotri, was proposed on 27 February.

The state government was preparing for the Prime Minister's visit, but in view of the snowfall and rain alert issued by the Meteorological Department, this visit has been postponed for the time being. Now, PM Modi's visit is likely to be deferred to March.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has confirmed this. He said that the visit has been postponed for the time being due to bad weather. The Chief Minister had also given instructions to improve the travel arrangements by visiting Mukhwa-Harsil on the previous day.
