Thiruvananthapuram, 06 December(HS): Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, the close associate of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, got a relief from Kerala High Court on Saturday as the court directed the police not to arrest him till the local body elections get over on 11th December 2025.

The Congress leader is facing a series of criminal charges ranging from rape, assault and forced termination of pregnancy of the victim.

The court said that the plea filed by the rape accused has to be heard in detail before reaching a conclusion.

Rahul Mamkootathil told the court that he does not know which victim has filed the complaint against him.
