New Delhi, 30 December (HS): The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday chargesheeted five persons, including four absconders, in a 2024 case related to the procurement and supply of explosives to the banned CPI (Maoist) organisation in Chhattisgarh.

According to an official statement, the accused include Manish Sodhi, who has been arrested, and absconders Sodhi Kesa, Manila, Madkam Kesa and Sodhi Lakhma, all residents of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh.

Manish Sodhi, also known as Hurra, was arrested by the NIA in July this year. With the latest chargesheet, the agency has so far filed charges against seven persons in the case.

The NIA said the investigation pertains to the illegal supply of explosives to Maoist cadres operating in the region.
