
New Delhi, 30 December (HS): Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested an off-duty Air India Express pilot accused of assaulting a passenger at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, officials said, adding that the accused was later granted bail.
The accused, identified as Captain Virendra Sejwal, had earlier joined the investigation and was questioned by the investigating officer.
Police said that following the registration of the case, relevant CCTV footage was collected and statements of witnesses were recorded. The accused was subsequently called for questioning, after which his arrest was effected.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, the accused secured bail from the IGI Airport police station, officials added.
