Bhubaneswar, 24 December (H.S.): Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday launched simultaneous searches at four locations linked to Sri Basudev Bhoi, Senior Revenue Assistant (SRA) in the office of the Settlement Officer, Major Settlement, Sambalpur, in connection with allegations of possession of disproportionate assets. The searches are being carried out under the supervision of two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), assisted by eight Inspectors and supporting staff, on the basis of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.

According to official press release , the Vigilance teams conducted searches at a double-storeyed residential building at Bargarh, a building at Charbhati in Sambalpur district, his parental house at Bargarh, and his office premises at Sambalpur. The searches are currently underway and further details are awaited. Odisha Vigilance stated that additional information will be shared after completion of the searches.
