
Guwahati, 20 December (HS): Assam Legislative Assembly Leader of the Opposition Debabrata Saikia on Saturday strongly condemned the brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh, calling it a barbaric act and a serious violation of human rights. In a statement, Saikia urged the Government of India to take urgent diplomatic steps, raise the issue at international forums including the United Nations and ensure protection of minority Hindus in Bangladesh. He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to use India’s global diplomatic influence to address the issue and reassure the Hindu community.----------
