Guwahati, 17 December (HS): The recovery of the body of a missing student of Pandu College has triggered panic on the college campus in Guwahati. Police said on Wednesday that the student, who had been missing since December 16, was found dead inside a bathroom.

Upon receiving information, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The deceased was taken into custody and sent to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem examination.

The deceased has been identified as Rubail Alam, a resident of Lanka in Hojai district. He was a student of Ambikagiri Roy Choudhury Hostel.

Police have initiated an investigation into the matter based on a complaint lodged by the family members of the deceased.----------
