17 Dec (HS): While being transported to retrieve weapons used in the crime, a
father and son involved in a cow slaughter case were injured in a gunfight with
police, according to authorities on Wednesday. They stated that the accused
opened fire on the police team in the vicinity of the Parikshitgarh police
station. Razzaq's left leg and his son
Usman's right leg were injured when police opened fire in self-defense. According
to authorities, the two have been admitted to the Community Health Center for
treatment.
A
team arrived at a home in Asifabad after receiving information about cow
slaughter, and they found about 10 kg of meat, according to the officials. After
an inquiry, seven persons were taken into custody, including Razzaq's wife. During
interrogation, the suspects disclosed that the instruments used to butcher cows
had been buried in a forest near Jhabhapuri, according to officials. Police discovered two illegal country-made
firearms, knives, and other instruments used in the killing in their
possession.
