Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Ashok Singhal on Wednesday reviewed the overall functioning of the Health and Family Welfare Department in a meeting with senior officials at his office in Dispur.
During the meeting, the minister discussed key issues including distribution of appointment letters scheduled for December 22, digital mapping of C-section cases constituency-wise, formation of health clubs in educational institutions, implementation of the Swasthya Van Shramik Scheme, infrastructure development in 20 tea gardens, and availability of medicines and equipment through AMSCL.
Singhal directed officials to ensure smooth treatment for critically ill patients identified in recent mega health camps and to expedite referrals outside the state where required. He also stressed early operationalisation of newly constructed primary health centres and strengthening healthcare infrastructure under the National Health Mission.
Senior officials of the Health and Family Welfare Department were present at the review meeting.
