
Hamirpur,
14 Dec (HS): Four people travelling in a Bolero vehicle were tragically killed
and three others injured in a horrific road accident on Sunday on the
Bundelkhand Expressway near Ichauli village in the Maudaha area of Hamirpur
district in Uttar Pradesh. Police have taken the bodies into custody and
launched an investigation. The Bolero vehicle was completely destroyed after
colliding with a bus. Two brothers were among the deceased.
Ghanshyam,
a resident of Gyodi village in the Khanna police station area of the
neighbouring Mahoba district, had lost his mother. After the funeral, on
Sunday, Siddhgopal (65), son of Maiyadin, Ramsahodhar (40), son of Chhotelal,
Ghanshyam (55), son of Chhotelal, Sonu (35), son of Pyarelal and three other
family members were travelling in a Bolero to Prayagraj to immerse the ashes.
Then, at Km-71 of the Bundelkhand Expressway, near Ichauli village in the
Maudaha area of Hamirpur district, the Bolero was hit from behind by a
speeding tourist bus heading to Banda.
Siddhgopal,
Ramsahodhr and Ghanshyam died on the spot in the accident, while Sonu,
Radheshyam son of Chhotelal, Asharam son of Achhelal were admitted to Banda
Medical College in critical condition, where Sonu also died. Maudaha Kotwali's
in-charge inspector Santosh Singh said that four people have died in the
accident, while among the injured; Radheshyam has been referred to Kanpur due
to his critical condition. Police have taken the bodies in their custody and
sent them to the mortuary for post-mortem. On receiving information about the
accident, ADM Finance Vijay Shankar Tiwari, CO Maudaha reached the spot and
took stock of the situation. There is chaos in the village due to the death of
four people in the accident.
