Adityanath distributed free gas cylinder refill subsidies worth Rs. 1,500 crore to 18.6 million eligible families under the Pradhan

Mantri Ujjwala Yojana from Lok Bhavan in Lucknow on Wednesday. The event was

broadcast live at the Exhibition Ground in Auraiya district, Uttar Pradesh.

During the program, Pratibha Shukla, Minister of State for Women Welfare, Child

Development and Nutrition and Minister in charge of the district, Kamal Singh

Dohre, District Panchayat President, Sarvesh Katheria, BJP District President,

and Lakhan Singh Rajput, former Minister of State, distributed subsidy demo

cheques, Diwali gifts, and grant cheques under the Prime Minister's Food

Industry Upgradation Scheme to the beneficiaries. Farmers were then informed of

the benefits of millet production under the National Food Security and

Nutrition Mission (Shri Anna Mahotsav).

Minister of State Pratibha Shukla said that by providing free gas subsidies to

women on Diwali, the government has brought happiness to their faces. Millet

production not only increases farmers' income but also helps prevent incurable

diseases. She added that the state government is empowering women through

self-reliance groups and effectively operating a toll-free system for their

safety. BJP District President Sarvesh Katheria said that the double engine

government is committed to the respect of women and prosperity of farmers.

Minister of State Lakhan Singh Rajput appealed to the people to

promote local industries by using indigenous products on Diwali. Former

candidate Riya Shakya said that the Ujjwala Yojana has given women a

smoke-free, healthy life. District Magistrate Dr. Indramani Tripathi,

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Bharti, along with several officials and

hundreds of women and members of the public were present at the event.
