Siliguri, 16 October (H.S.) - Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, on Thursday visited ailing BJP MP Khagen Murmu at a private hospital in Siliguri. Murmu has been undergoing treatment after sustaining serious injuries in an attack by miscreants earlier this month.

Murmu, the BJP MP from North Bengal, was critically injured during a relief distribution drive in the flood-hit Dooars region of Jalpaiguri. During the incident, he suffered multiple injuries and was left bleeding. BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh was also attacked at the same time.

Adhikari met Murmu at the hospital, enquired about his health condition, and wished him a speedy recovery.
