Agartala, 16 October (HS): Sensation gripped the Indo-Bangladesh border area in Tripura after three blood-soaked bodies were found early Thursday morning in a rubber plantation at Anantapara under Khowai district.

Local labourers found the bodies while arriving for work and immediately alerted others. A large crowd gathered at the site soon after the news spread. Police rushed to the spot and began investigation into the mysterious deaths.

Preliminary suspicion suggests that the deceased could be Bangladeshi smugglers or thieves who were possibly beaten to death during the night. Senior police officers from Khowai district inspected the scene and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Authorities said all possible angles are being probed to uncover the circumstances behind the brutal killings. -------------
