Tehran, 07 August (H.S.):
Iran has urged Gulf nations to press US President Donald Trump to prevent any potential military strikes against the Islamic Republic, warning that if the United States targets Iran's energy facilities or other critical infrastructure, Tehran will retaliate by striking energy installations and other strategic sites across the Gulf region.
According to media reports, Iran conveyed this message during recent high-level diplomatic engagements with Gulf countries. Citing a senior Iranian official, the reports said any retaliatory action could target oil and gas facilities, refineries, electricity and water supply networks, transportation infrastructure, and other critical installations across the region.
The reports further stated that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged Gulf states to use their influence with the United States to promote dialogue and diplomacy instead of military action. He said Iran seeks to avoid a broader regional conflict but is fully prepared to respond if it comes under attack.
