Lucknow, Aug 7 (HS): Important information for candidates

applying online for admission to government and private Industrial Training

Institutes (ITIs) for the session 2026-27. The Department of Vocational

Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has provided candidates with

the opportunity to change/add institute and trade options in their application

form.

Abhishek Singh, Special Secretary of the Vocational

Education Department and Executive Director of SCVT, has informed that the

online application process for admission to ITI in the state is going on from

July 11, 2026. The seats have been displayed on the portal on the basis of the

dynamic seat matrix received from the DGT, Government of India.

He stated that some institutions have de-mapped units/seats

for NCVT courses that were previously mapped to SCVT courses, resulting in an

increase in seats for SCVT courses. He also stated that the completion of

missing mapping by institutions has also increased seats for NCVT courses.

As per the updated seat matrix, all students who have

applied online can change their choice of institute and trade based on their

educational qualifications or add new options by visiting the portal

www.scvtup.in between August 9 and August 12, 2026. The department is also

sending information to applicants' registered mobile numbers via SMS, so that

students have maximum opportunity to get admission in their preferred trade and

institute.
