government's effort to ensure that teachers get necessary educational support

at every level, from lesson preparation to effective teaching: Minister Sandeep

12 Aug (HS): The primary requirement for improved classroom learning is the

proper preparation of teachers. With this in mind, the Uttar Pradesh

government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has allocated over Rs 3.81

crore to provide teachers with the necessary academic resources for the 2026-27

academic year.

In

all 75 districts of the state, guidebooks and teacher diaries will be made

available for Hindi and Mathematics teachers from class 1 to 5, while a

separate limit of Rs 42.61 lakh has been issued under the LEP head for teachers

of council and Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools from class 6 to 8.

Minister

of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education, Sandeep Singh, said that a

better classroom begins with better preparation. The government's effort is to

ensure that teachers receive the necessary educational support at every level,

from lesson preparation to effective teaching. The Guide and Teacher Diary are

initiatives to strengthen this teacher-centered system.

The

State Project Director's Office, Samagra Shiksha, has released a total limit of

Rs 338.54 lakh to 75 districts for the printing and supply of Hindi and

Mathematics subject manuals and teacher diaries for classes 1 to 5. This includes

Rs 172.35 lakh for the printing of the manual, Rs 152.91 lakh for the teacher

diaries, and Rs 13.27 lakh for the transportation of printed materials.

The

guide will help teachers better understand the content, plan learning

activities, and tailor lessons to the needs of the class, while also enabling

teachers to more systematically plan their class work and prepare for teaching

activities through the Teacher Diary.

A

separate limit of Rs 42.61 lakh will be released under the LEP head for

teachers of council and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in grades 6 to 8.

This is intended to provide teachers with the necessary academic support for

lesson preparation, presentation, and classroom activities, rather than

limiting them to textbooks.

Director

General of School Education and State Project Director Monica Rani has issued

instructions to ensure the timely supply of handbooks and teacher diaries and

their distribution to the school level. The instructions clarify that teachers

should not have to wait for necessary materials during the academic session.
