Nagpur, 11 Aug

(HS): The cow and buffalo milk will be costlier in Maharashtra. The per litre

prices have been increased by two rupees from 11 August owing to rise in

transport cost, and plastic bags raw material and processing.

The prices of

dairy products are likely to be higher by about 10 per cent, although the hike

has not been announced.

Following

discussion during a meeting of cooperative milk producing societies with their

federation, the decision was taken a few days ago.

The higher

prices will be iin force from Tuesday.
